Wupatki Walls

These sandstone walls are part of the reconstructed Wupatki Pueblo located in Wupatki National Monument. Once consisting of about 100 rooms, Wupatki Pueblo was probably home to 85-100 people, comprising one of the largest settlements in the area. Today evidence of ball courts and ceremonial structures can still be found here. Here's another photo of the ruins.

I worked at Wupatki from 1981-1989 and always reflect on my 'good years' when I see images from there. It is a special place. Take care of it!
