Pink Church Door

Although my wife and I call it the "Pink Church", its official name is the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Chapel. It's one of only 3 Catholic churches in town. This particular photo is of the main entrance at the front of the church. In a previous post, I posted a photo is the church's steeple.

I'm really enjoying your daily Flagstaff photos. My husband has a beautiful black and white nighttime shot of this church that he took many many years ago, but I didn't actually realize it was pink until we were there last week and he showed it to me since the only other time I saw it was also at night...lol!

Yes that is pink. In my experience ... strange for a catholic church!

Pink is an odd color. Not sure why they went this that color for the trim, but the rock is local stone found around Flag, so that makes sense.

Glad you like the shot, Karin, and also glad you finally got to see it by the light of day. :-)

Modest and beautiful, the ones I like to visit. The steeple looks great too.

I am impressed with the symmetry. This is my first visit to your blog (but third commentary); I like what I'm seeing and I'll be back.
