Regrowth

We found this burned area on a hike the other day. It has been more than a year since this area burned and just now plants are starting to come back. I'm not sure the name of this flowering plant, but its pink flowers made for a great contrast against the blackened trunks of the trees behind it. In a couple of years this area will have rebounded and will be a thick pine forest again.

It amazes me how quickly life can return to a burned area. The wildflower is lovely.

Lovely. I can practically smell the forest there.

Nice splash of color in an area that had been blackened by fire. This is my first visit to your blog, and I enjoyed looking at your photos. I really liked seeing the stitching feature works, I have that on my camera, but have yet to try it. Nice work!

It'll take more than just " a couple of years" for that burned area to become "a thick pine forest again."
