Gambel Oak

Rocky Ridge Trail 3075a, originally uploaded by dustinjblodgett.

As the sun hit this gambel oak tree, the contrasting light and shadows made for a perfect black and white photo.

Nice composition and good call going with black and white.

Absolutely gorgeous. The tones are spot on. The lighting is perfect. The bokeh is outstanding. Well done!

Absolutely beautiful --- I agree, the lighting is perfect! I don't know how you can consider yourself an amateur!

Very nicely seen and photographed! From the spider's silk on the upper leaf, to the veins of the center on, to the transparency and shadow on others and the stark contrast of the oak against the bokeh background, this is wonderful!
