Caught in the Act

I caught this bee "fiddling around" in this pink desert wildflower during a camping trip on Bell Trail, near Camp Verde, Arizona. If anyone can help me identify this flower, it would be much appreciated.

I don't know the flower, but I love the lighting in this photo. Really pretty.

I don't know about the flower but I was intrigued by the color of your bee! My husband keeps bees (just a hobby now but commercially earlier in life) and we have golden bees. I have not seen one this gray/black color. Neat!

I have enjoyed catching up on your photos and blog. And the picture of your wife jumping is cute and funny!
