The Humble Cranberry

My tribute to Thanksgiving this year is a salute to the cranberry. So much sour, citrusy goodness packed into such a small berry. Why do we eat them only one day a year? They are a natural source of vitamin C, add a great zing to any dish and can even prevent reoccurring UTIs. So I ask, why aren't these humble berries on our plate more often?

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!!

Your photo and your caption pays tribute, just as you intended. I wonder that myself, why we don't eat it all year long.

I love this pic. So simple and beautiful. A great macro.

Cranberries are wonderful as a side dish, cold with cold cuts or warm with a sausage for example. There are lots of way to incorporate them outside of today. I hear cranberry juice is good for you and great in cocktails too. A bit like pomegranate.

Dustin, wonderful pic. I love the colors and the contrast between the grain in the table and the curve of the lowly cranberry.

I have visited flagstaff a few times and think it is wonderful. There is a great burger place in town I always visit but the name escapes me right now.

Hi, hope you had a good holiday. We got snow during the night and all day Friday. I love Cranberries. My favorite trail mix from Trader Joes has dried ones. Have a great weekend Dustin.
