Out In Force

After the July and August monsoon rains, the wild sunflowers are out in force here in Flagstaff. This photo was taken near my house and the mountains in the background are, of course, the San Francisco peaks.

A photo taken from the car while we were on our way back to Flagstaff from Sedona on June 24th,, 2010. The Schultz wildfire had decided to flare back up and was sending huge plumes of smoke into the air.

Brewing

I don't know if I have mentioned it before on this blog, but my other major hobby (besides photography) is homebrewing beer. This photo was taken after a recent bottling session when I bottled my first batch of Empty Stomach Amber Ale (hence the "ESAA" on the bottle caps).
